 March 2016

  • 8th March: Events took place across the UK on International Women’s Day. Members of the APPG on PDRH participated in debates in the House of Commons and House of Lords.

January 2016

  • 25th - 28th January: Baroness Jenny Tonge presented findings from the APPG’s recent hearings report at the International Conference on Family Planning in Indonesia.

December 2015

  • 9th - 11th December: A member of the APPG on PDRH joined a European delegation to the fourth annual meeting of the Ouagadougou Partnership in Benin.

November 2015

  • 30th November - 2nd December: The APPG on PDRH’s Policy and Parliamentary Advisor attended the EPF Secretariat meeting in Malta.

  • 10th - 17th November: Eight members of the APPG on PDRH took part in a study tour to Sri Lanka (the report on which can be found here).

  • 3rd November: Members of the APPG on PDRH attended the launch of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ new programme ‘Leading Safe Choices’.

  • 2nd - 4th November: The APPG on PDRH’s Policy and Parliamentary Advisor attended the EuroNGOs Annual General Meeting in Oslo.

October 2015

  • 19th October: APPG on PDRH members Holly Lynch MP and Lord Steel spoke at a reception in Parliament celebrating 90 years of Marie Stopes International.

September 2015

  • 14th September: The APPG on PDRH hosted a dinner for BPAS board members.

July 2015

  • 13th - 16th July: Baroness Jenny Tonge and Holly Lynch MP visited Addis Ababa to attend the Third International Financing for Development Conference and to participate in a short study tour.

  • 8th July: The APPG on PDRH and the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) co-hosted an evening reception to celebrate World Population Day.

  • 8th July: The APPG on PDRH launched its report entitled ‘Population Dynamics and the Sustainable Development Goals’. The report examines how population trends, age, urbanisation and migration are linked to climate change and conflict, and what this means for international development and sustainable development. June 2015

  • 24th June: The APPG on PDRH and other APPGs working on international development issues co-hosted a visit from Bill Gates and a Q&A session with Parliamentarians.

  • 18th June: The APPG on PDRH, in collaboration with MenCare and the International Planned Parent Federation (IPPF), launched the world’s first global analysis of fatherhood, ‘State of the World’s Fathers’, in the House of Commons. The report can be found on the MenCare website here.
