Events 2013-14 — APPG on Population, Development and Reproductive Health

24th March: Eight APPG on PDRH members met with representatives from the UK Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Network to receive a briefing on key topical issues.
20th March: Baroness Jenny Tonge, Mette Kjaerby and Benjamin Hunter met with representatives from the Royal College of Gynaecologists and Royal College of Midwives to discuss the risks and benefits of caesarean sections.
18th March: Baroness Jenny Tonge spoke at the General Assembly of the African Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development, in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on the experiences of European parliamentarians.

20th - 21st February: Baroness Jenny Tonge spoke at the German APPG on Population and Development’s 10-year anniversary event in Berlin, Germany.
12th February: Baroness Jenny Tonge, Mette Kjaerby and Benjamin Hunter met with representatives from the Royal College of Midwives and Maternity Action to discuss the Immigration Bill.
11th February: Baroness Jenny Tonge spoke at the Plan Norge, Child Marriage event in Oslo, Norway.

17th - 23rd July: APPG on PDRH members and other parliamentarians visited Myanmar to look at maternal healthcare and family planning services on the ground. Read the report here.

9th - 10th May: The APPG on PDRH and the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development hosted a two-day conference for parliamentarians in the Houses of Parliament.
