  • 22nd September: Baroness Sugg met with MSI Reproductive Choices and the Margaret Pyke Trust to discuss family planning and SRHR at COP26.

  • 22nd September: Members and the APPG on PDRH Parliamentary and Policy Advisor attended ICAI’s session on UK aid ties with China

  • 20th September: Members and THE APPG ON PDRH PARLIAMENTARY AND POLICY ADVISOR  attended the Ford Foundation webinar on child marriage.

  • 18th – 26th September: Members participated in the Wednesday for Women event highlighting the link between the fight for climate change and access to voluntary family planning in Parliament Square and signed a letter to Alok Sharma MP, COP26 President on climate justice and equality.

  • 17th September: Baroness Hussein-Ece and Baroness Sugg signed the HRC 48 Joint Statement on Abortion

  • 16th September: Baroness Sugg spoke at the EPF/DSW Donors Delivering for SRHR 2021 Report launch

  • 14th September: Members and the APPG on PDRH Parliamentary and Policy Advisor attended the webinar, ‘Ending Virginity Testing & Hymenoplasty: Introducing Criminal Justice Responses & Raising Awareness’.

  • 7th September: Baroness Barker chaired the APPG on HIV & AIDS meeting with UNAIDS Executive Director Winnie Byanyima.

  • 6th September: The APPG on PDRH submitted written evidence to the FCDO’s international development strategy consultation.

 

August 2021

  • 26th August: Together with the APPG on HIV & AIDS, the APPG on SRH, and the APPG on LGBT+ Rights, the APPG on PDRH co-signed a letter to the Foreign Secretary on women and girls in Afghanistan.

  • 18th – 21st August: Baroness Barker attended the Copenhagen Human Rights and LGBTI+ conference virtually, supported by EPF.

June 2021

  • 24th June: Members signed the Women’s Right to Safe Abortion petition demanding that Japan abolish its requirement for male permission to obtain abortion care.

  • 22nd June: Baroness Sugg spoke at the EPF/GPA/AIDOS G8 High Level Parliamentary Consultation: ‘Placing Gender back at the Centre of Global Health and Development Policies’.

  • 10th June: In collaboration with EPF, the APPG on PDRH launched in collaboration with EPF its new hearing report on girls’ education and SRHR with Helen Grant MP as the keynote speaker.

  • 9th June: Baroness Sugg joined the NGO 'Wednesday for Women' activities, including the walk to No 10 Downing Street.

  • 4th June: Baroness Sugg signed the joint APPG on Health G7 letter to the Prime Minister highlighting the importance of UK aid to SRHR.


May 2021

  • 26th May: The APPG on PDRH Parliamentary & Policy Advisor attended a UK SRHR Network meeting with Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office presentations.

  • 19th May: Members including Baroness Blackstone and Baroness Sugg spoke in the House of Lords Queen’s Speech debate in support of UK Aid to SRHR.

  • 14th May: The APPG on PDRH issued a statement on UK aid cuts.

  • 13th May: Members attended the BPAS webinar, ‘Pregnancy choices during the pandemic: Are they here to stay?’

  • 11th May: The APPG on PDRH and EPF sent a letter to the Prime Minister on the importance of addressing SRHR at the G7.

  • 5th May: Baroness Sugg spoke at the UK launch of UNFPA’s State of the World Population Report 2021, ‘My body is my own: Claiming the rights to autonomy and self-determination’.

  • 5th May: Select members attended the Center for Reproductive Rights and the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM) virtual roundtable, ‘Guaranteeing Undocumented Migrant Women’s Access to Affordable Maternal Healthcare in the EU’.

  • May: Members signed the Italian draft resolution countering formalising/furthering the Holy See’s observer status at the WHO.
